SUMMARY:Digital technologies for the minimally invasive oral rehabilitation of worn dentitions
DESCRIPTION:Webinar with PD Dr. Alexis Ioannidis \nWe cordially invite you to participate in the PROSEC Webinar on Wednesday\, 15th February 2023.\nJoin PD Dr. Alexis Ioannidis to hear his lecture about digital technologies for the minimally invasive oral rehabilitation of worn dentitions. \nThe following link will take you to the PROSEC Facebook page. There you can start the Livestream at 2 pm CET. https://www.facebook.com/prosec.networks/ \nWe recommend that you log in on Facebook before starting the Livestream. This prevents any interruptions due to Facebook’s login requests. \nWhat is the topic of the webinar? \nErosive tooth wear is a frequent problem in industrialized countries. To compensate for the loss of tooth structure indirect restorative treatments may be indicated. Conventional prosthetic approaches require extensive preparation of the already damaged dentition and may lead to biological complications. From this point of view\, it is crucial to prepare the teeth as minimally invasive as possible. At the same time\, the restorative materials should withstand high occlusal loads and meet high aesthetic standards. Individual case-by-case and tooth-by-tooth decisions. following a diagnostic process are key to success in the rehabilitation of worn teeth. Digital technologies can help us achieve these goals effectively.

SUMMARY:Facebook Live Webinar: Zirconia - a suitable material for dental implants and restorations?
DESCRIPTION:Webinar with Prof. Dr. Florian Beuer \nWe cordially invite you to participate in the PROSEC Webinar on Wednesday\, May 17\, 2023. \nJoin Prof. Dr. Florian Beuer (Charité Berlin) to hear his lecture:\nZirconia: a suitable material for dental implants and restorations? \nThe following link will take you to the PROSEC Facebook page. There you can start the Livestream at 6 pm CET. www.facebook.com/prosec.networks/ \nWe recommend that you log in on Facebook before starting the Livestream. This prevents any interruptions due to Facebook’s login requests. \nWhat is the topic of the webinar?\nOver the last decades\, zirconia has become one of the most interesting materials in restorative dentistry. In implant dentistry\, all-ceramic materials have been used for more than 50 years. First alumina was the material of choice which showed acceptable osseointegration but inferior mechanical properties. Today modern zirconia materials exhibit enough stability for long-term clinical success. However\, the market share of dental implants fabricated from zirconia is still below 2 % in Europe. An important point might be the question of one-piece or two-piece concepts. Two-piece titanium implants as the golden standard offer prosthetic advantages compared to one-piece zirconia implants. Two-piece zirconia implants are associated with a certain minimum diameter and difficulty to mount the abutment to the implant without applying tension to the zirconia implant. \nThe lecture will give an overview of zirconia implants available on the market and their scientific background. Furthermore\, a clinical concept for zirconia implants and zirconia restorations on titanium implants will be given. \nObjectives of this webinar: \n\nShare current knowledge about zirconia implants\nCompare one-piece vs. two-piece zirconia implants\nHighlight all-ceramics on dental implants

SUMMARY:Zirconia used as an all-round material in dental technology
DESCRIPTION:Webinar with Luc Rutten & Patrick Rutten \nWe cordially invite you to participate in the PROSEC Webinar on Wednesday\, November 15\, 2023. \nJoin Luc and Patrick Rutten (Dental Team\, Belgium) to hear the lecture:\nZirconia used as an all-round material in dental technology. \nThe following link will take you to the PROSEC Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/prosec.networks/  There you can start the Livestream at 2 pm CET. \nWe recommend that you log in on Facebook before starting the Livestream. This prevents any interruptions due to Facebook’s login requests. \nWhat is the topic of the webinar?\nClinicians and dental technicians have access to an astounding array of new technologies\, tools\, and materials to design predictable beautiful smiles. \nThis presentation puts an emphasis on close cooperation between prosthodontist\, periodontist\, implantologist\, and dental technician. In addition\, a focus is placed on clinical and prosthetic techniques to achieve successful aesthetics. \nThe newest developments in the field of digital systems allow greater predictability and precision of results and reduce the duration of dental treatment and dental technology. These technologies offer more accuracy which allows better design quality. Transitioning from an analog workflow to a digital one requires a change of paradigms. \nMaterial selection is fundamental in the management of complex rehabilitation and implant restorations as well. The aesthetic outcome and the natural appearance of the restoration depends also on the skills of the dental technician. Understanding of the gingiva of the dental technician will be explained to re-create in a two-way communication an aesthetic end result. New concepts and trends with a focus on zirconium dioxide and its excellent long-term behavior and extraordinary mechanical properties\, will be discussed to realize predictable natural oral aesthetics around implants. \nAn interdisciplinary approach is the key to optimal case management and this will be demonstrated by cases ranging from single tooth to complex multiple tooth restoration.

SUMMARY:Digital workflow in edentulous cases: Ready for private practice?
DESCRIPTION:Livestream with Prof. Dr. Benedikt Spies \nWe cordially invite you to participate in the Facebook Livestream on Wednesday\, April 10\, 2024. \nJoin Prof. Dr. Benedikt Spies to hear her lecture: \nDigital workflow in edentulous cases: Ready for private practice? \n  \nThe following link will take you to the VITA Facebook page. There you can start the Livestream at 4 pm CET. (20+) Facebook \nWe recommend that you log in on Facebook before starting the Livestream. This prevents any interruptions due to Facebook’s login requests. \n  \nWhat is the topic of the webinar? \nIf one can believe the corresponding advertising\, digital technologies in dentistry are revolutionizing the field of data collection\, diagnostics\, and therapy in dental practice\, transforming our daily work routine. They promise a more efficient and\, at the same time\, more pleasant therapy for our patients\, ideally even more cost-effective for both parties. However\, for many potential users\, it is unclear to what extent their range of treatments can already be implemented with the help of these technologies\, what specific improvements can be expected\, and what complications digitization can bring in the mentioned areas. Not least\, high investment costs and often opaque ongoing costs sometimes deter a switch or a new entry. The presentation aims to illustrate whether the mentioned promises are restricted to single or short-span reconstructions or already to be applied in edentulous indications.

SUMMARY:PROSEC invites: Results of the First Prosthetic Consensus Conference on Minimally Invasive Restorations
DESCRIPTION:Minimally Invasive Dentistry – The Future is Now!\nMinimally invasive dentistry and dental technology is experiencing a paradigm shift. New materials\, digital workflows and innovative forms of preparation enable restorations that are gentle on the substance and go far beyond what many of us learned during our studies. The world’s first Consensus Conference on Minimally Invasive Restorations\, a joint conference of SEPES\, SSRD and PROSEC\, took place in Madrid in November 2024 under the motto “Together for better dentistry!”. It brought together leading experts from science\, practice and dental technology to develop evidence-based recommendations for clinical application. \nAt this exclusive PROSEC event at Charité Berlin\, we will present the brand new consensus papers of the three review groups: \n\nCaries-related hard substance loss and minimally invasive posterior restorations\n(Prof. Dr. Petra Gierthmühlen)\nStrategies and Considerations on the Vertical Occlusal Dimension in the Treatment of Worn Teeth by Direct and Indirect Procedures\n(PD Dr. Alexis Ioannidis)\nPreparation Forms and Digital Workflows in Minimally Invasive Dentistry\n(Dr. Sandra Fernández Villar)\n\nThis event offers you the unique opportunity to benefit first-hand from the results of the world’s first Consensus Conference on Minimally Invasive Restorations. \nRegister now by email: jennifer.kaiser@charite.de / Phone: +49 (0) 30 450 562 712 \nLocation: Charité Center 3 for Dental\, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine \nDepartment of Dental Prosthodontics\, Geriatric Dentistry and Functional Theory\nCharité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin\nCampus Benjamin Franklin\nAßmannshauser Str. 4-6\n14197 Berlin \nDate: Wednesday\, October 29\, 2025 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM\nCost: Free participation (limited places!)
