SUMMARY:Biomechanical aspects of implant reconstructions
DESCRIPTION:Webinar with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Christoph Hämmerle \nWe cordially invite you to participate in the PROSEC Webinar on Wednesday\, 16th February 2022. \nJoin Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Christoph Hämmerle to learn more about the biomechanical aspects of implant reconstructions. \nThe following link will take you to the PROSEC Facebook page. There you can start the Livestream at 2 pm CET. https://www.facebook.com/prosec.networks/ \nWe recommend that you log in on Facebook before starting the Livestream. This prevents any interruptions due to Facebook’s login requests. \nWhat is the topic of the webinar?\nThe clinical aim of implant therapy is to provide artificial abutments to support dental prostheses. These prostheses are inserted in order to allow masticatory and speech function as well as provide pleasing esthetics for the patient. During masticatory function and also during parafunction\, forces are transferred from the occlusal contacts through reconstructions and implants to the bone and the surrounding tissues. This force transfer comprises biological and mechanical components. The balanced interplay between these forces and the biomechanical response and resilience of the implant-supporting tissues is the basis for long-term success and stability. The present lecture will shed light on clinically relevant biomechanical aspects of implant-borne reconstructions.

SUMMARY:Webinar with Peter Pizzi: When\, Where and Why
DESCRIPTION:We cordially invite you to participate in the PROSEC Webinar on Wednesday\, 26th January 2022.\nJoin Peter Pizzi to hear his lecture: When\, Where and Why \nThe following link will take you to the PROSEC Facebook page. There you can start the Livestream at 2 pm CET. https://www.facebook.com/prosec.networks/ \nWe recommend that you log in on Facebook before starting the Livestream. This prevents any interruptions due to Facebook’s login requests. \nWhat is the topic of the webinar?\nOur goal for the future of the dental health profession is to provide esthetic\, functional restorative options to support the needs of our patients. In this short overview\, we will discuss how the Clinical\, Technical role is much more demanding today and we must have a clear understanding of each of the materials options and technologies that can help achieve successful results. As the clinical and technical side of dentistry continues to evolve and our educated patients strive for the best\, we too must develop an understanding of each material’s strengths and weaknesses and drive the restorative market as opposed to it being driven by our patients or our manufacturing partners. \nLecture topics to include:\n• Optical Properties of dental materials.\n• Material management and case selection.\n• Digital and Manuel material options.\n• The importance of artistry in today’s product selection

SUMMARY:Webinar with Prof. Dr. Hämmerle and PD. Dr. Ioannidis
DESCRIPTION:We cordially invite you to participate in the PROSEC Webinar on Wednesday\, 1st December 2021. \nJoin Prof. Dr. Christoph Hämmerle and PD Dr. Alexis Ioannidis to learn more about the Prosthetic Rehabilitation of Patients with Erosive Tooth Wear. \nThe following link will take you to the PROSEC Facebook page. There you can start the Livestream at 5 pm.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/prosec.networks/ \nWe recommend that you log in on Facebook before starting the Livestream. This prevents any interruptions due to Facebook’s login requests. \nWhy should you join this PROSEC Talk?\nErosive tooth wear is a common problem in industrialized countries. In order to compensate the loss of tooth substance\, indirect restorative treatments may be indicated. Traditional prosthetic concepts require an extensive preparation of the already hampered dentition and can lead to biological complications. From this point of view\, it is crucial to prepare teeth as minimally invasive as possible. At the same time\, restorative materials should withstand high occlusal loads and high aesthetic demands should be fulfilled. Individual case-by-case and tooth-by-tooth decisions which follow a diagnostic process are key to success for the rehabilitation of worn dentitions.

SUMMARY:PROSEC Active Partner Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The PROSEC Active Partner Workshop will be held from September 13th to 14th 2019\, upon invitation from the Scientific Board. \nAn overwhelming majority of participants at the PROSEC Partner Meeting in January voted in favor of a gathering of all working groups (WG) on a specific date. \nThat is why we decided to implement a joint workshop for all PROSEC Partners who are actively involved in the PROSEC Network going forward – whether clinically\, scientifically or in the field of education. \nThe workshop aims to stimulate a systematic exchange and transfer of knowledge\, as well sharing of clinical experience\, among the participants.
