They promise a more efficient and\, at the same time\, more pleasant therapy for our patients\, ideally even more cost-effective for both parties. However\, for many potential users\, it is unclear to what extent their range of treatments can already be implemented with the help of these technologies\, what specific improvements can be expected\, and what complications digitization can bring in the mentioned areas. Not least\, high investment costs and often opaque ongoing costs sometimes deter a switch or a new entry. The presentation aims to illustrate whether the mentioned promises are restricted to single or short-span reconstructions or already to be applied in edentulous indications.
