17 Papers Published
International experts from Progress in Science and Education with Ceramics (PROSEC), the Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD), and the Spanish Society for Prosthodontics and Esthetic Dentistry (SEPES) convened in Madrid for the world’s first prosthodontic Consensus Conference on Minimally Invasive Restorations – with one clear goal: to make dentistry better! The knowledge gained from this landmark event is now available in a PROSEC Special Edition, published in the renowned Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry (JERD), featuring 17 high-quality papers.
Renowned Journal
Researchers typically aim to publish in journals with a high Impact Factor to increase visibility and strengthen their academic reputation. A journal’s Impact Factor is calculated by dividing the number of citations in a given year by the number of articles published in the previous two years. With an impressive Impact Factor of 4.1, JERD ranks 12th in the category Dentistry, Oral Surgery & Medicine – placing it in Quartile 1 and among the top 25 % of journals in the field. This highlights JERD’s role as a leading platform for groundbreaking scientific work in dentistry – the perfect place for PROSEC to publish the papers about minimally invasive restorations.
Nine Publications with Open Access
All 17 papers as part of the consensus conference focus on minimally and non-invasive restorations from various scientific perspectives. They cover a wide range of topics including posterior restorations, esthetic strategies for the anterior region, adaptation phases in vertical dimension increase, preparation techniques, and the precision of intraoral scanners. The cherry on top: Nine of these 17 papers have open access – and are therefore freely available resources for dental practitioners worldwide!
