Erosive tooth wear is a frequent problem in industrialized countries. To compensate for the loss of tooth structure indirect restorative treatments may be indicated. Conventional prosthetic approaches require extensive preparation of the already damaged dentition and may lead to biological complications. From this point of view, it is crucial to prepare the teeth as minimally invasive as possible. At the same time, the restorative materials should withstand high occlusal loads and meet high aesthetic standards.
