What is the topic of the webinar?

Traditionally, complete dentures are fabricated by using two different clinical processes: conventional and copy techniques.  Whilst some clinical aspects of these techniques differ, they both include intra-oral impressions taken of the denture bearing areas with occlusal information provided using wax rims.  However, the use of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD-CAM) techniques in the construction of complete dentures has recently gained popularity.  CAD-CAM dentures can be constructed in as few as two clinical visits and offer numerous new possibilities for the use of new materials and CAM-techniques.

In this line, the lecture will discuss materials, fabrication techniques, aesthetic outcomes, and effectivity of CAD-CAM dentures based on a recent systematic review. The scientific overview will be complemented with the discussion of clinical workflows of various manufacturers.
